Do you want an instructor who brings a human perspective to communication? I specialize in helping adult and graduate learners develop clarity, confidence, and authentic voice in both spoken and written academic and professional contexts. Drawing on training in formal linguistics and interdisciplinary methodology, I help students navigate complex material, unpack dense prose, and communicate ideas effectively for real audiences. My work bridges rigor and accessibility, supporting learners as they refine their thinking, presentation, and engagement across disciplines.
MY JOURNEY
Growing up in a suburb outside of North Philadelphia, I have since had the privilege to experience the world. Relocating to NYC was a long time coming, and I am thrilled to continue my study of language through a social lens at the graduate level at Columbia University. My comprehensive background in technical linguistics, creative writing, and six years of full-time work as a proofreader, have provided me with the foundation to confidently pursue honest and engaging stories.
